Privacy policy
Flutio is made by Mandari Solutions. This policy covers the Flutio iPhone app and this website. The short version: your playing never leaves your phone, your progress lives in your own iCloud, and we sell nothing to anyone.
The microphone
Flutio listens to your flute so it can tell which note you played and how close it was. That happens on your iPhone, as you play. The sound is not recorded, stored or sent anywhere, by us or anyone else. You can turn the microphone off in iOS Settings at any time; the lessons then run without listening.
The play-along demo on this website works the same way: the sound is analysed inside your browser and never sent to a server.
Your progress and profile
Lessons, stars, XP, streaks, settings, your display name, your avatar and any profile photo you choose are kept on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, Apple syncs them to your other devices through your private iCloud database. We can’t read that database.
Songs you import stay on your device and in your iCloud in the same way.
Leagues
When you’re signed in to iCloud, Flutio places you in a weekly league and puts a small record in Apple’s public CloudKit database so the other players in your group can see the table. It holds your display name, your Puff avatar (never your photo), whether you have Plus, your league and region, and the XP you earned that week. Without iCloud, the league runs on your phone alone and nothing is uploaded. Some rivals may be computer players. If someone reports a display name, we see only the name and the report.
Game Center
The weekly challenge uses Apple’s Game Center. If you sign in to Game Center, your score is shared with Apple and shown under your Game Center name, under Apple’s privacy policy.
Purchases
Flutio Plus is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment and tells the app only whether your subscription is active. We never see your card or your Apple ID.
No ads, no tracking
The app has no advertising, no analytics service and no third-party tracking. If you agree to share crash reports with developers in iOS Settings, Apple passes them to us without your name.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address, the date and which form you used, in a database hosted by Cloudflare. We use it for one thing: to tell you when Flutio is in the App Store. Then we delete the list. Write to support@getflutio.app to be taken off sooner.
Cloudflare serves this website and keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) for security. To keep bots off the waitlist, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at signals from your browser to tell a person from a script; Cloudflare’s own privacy policy covers that check. The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. Fonts are served from this site.
Children
Flutio can be used by children. The app collects no personal information outside the user’s own iCloud, apart from the league record described above. A parent who would rather keep a child’s display name out of leagues can write to us and we will remove the record.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, at support@getflutio.app. Deleting the app and its iCloud data (iOS Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage storage, Flutio) removes your progress. We answer every request within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. Big changes are also listed in the changelog.
